White Cushaw Winter Squash seeds
This White Cushaw Winter squash originates from Mexico and plays a double role as a focal point in any squash or gourd assortment, but also as a delicious squash when eaten in its smaller stage while it is tender.
The good news about this pumpkin is you actually want to pick it once it is as big as you need it to as it will not keep well if left on the vine for an extended amount of time beyond the end of its growth cycle. This squash can range from 5 lbs- 20 lbs! You can trellis this if you want small squash, but keep it on the ground if you want to see how big it will get.
This squash has a more subtle flavor and will play with others in a savory dish without making it overly sweet. It has been stated that the flavor is similar to delicata squash. These also freeze well! These take up some space, except about 8-10 feet apart unless you are trellising. Seed to harvest is around 85-105 days.
