Tonda Di Napoli Pumpkin seeds (Rare)
This Italian heirloom is stunning, to say the least. Hailing from Naples, this variety is similar to its French counterpart the Musquee De Provence, but this variety does have some differences. Tonda Di Napoli pumpkins are flat with exceptionally thick ribbing. Each pumpkin can reach upwards of 30+ lbs. The inside of the pumpkin yields thick, rich, yellow to orange flesh with very few seeds and no stringy flesh. This variety is traditionally sliced into thick wedges and grilled or roasted. These need some extra time to mature as they take a little longer than other varieties to reach maturity.
The first year we grew these, we were able to harvest the pumpkin at full maturity while it maintained a deep green color we fell in love with. We sun-cured some others so they could achieve an attractive buff/tan color.
(The seeds for this variety are freshly harvested from our property each year and will be available around late October to early December weather permitting.)
