A bowl full of fresh Thai Jicama.

Thai Jicama seeds

SKU: 1508714

Introducing our Thai Jicama seeds, an invitation to cultivate a unique and versatile addition to your garden. Botanically classified as a bean, these are far from traditional beans as they lean more on the vegetable classification.  These seeds give rise to a plant that produces the crisp and succulent jicama, celebrated for its refreshing taste and culinary adaptability.

Originating from Thailand, this variety adds an exotic touch to your gardening experience, promising not only a delightful harvest but also a journey into the vibrant world of international flavors. As the plant matures, its roots develop into a crunchy, mild-flavored tuber, offering endless possibilities in salads, stir-fries, and various culinary creations. This Thai version is smaller, more pale, and slightly more pointed than their Latin counterparts. Each jicama can grow up to 5 lbs. They will be smaller and cooler regions.
