Silver Edged Pumpkin seeds
Silver Edged Pumpkin is an heirloom variety of squash. It is round with attractive mottled dark green and white stripes. This squash weighs between 5-8 lbs. The shape can vary between pear-shaped and round. Silver edge squash earned its name from the silver-edged seeds inside. The seeds are great for snacking, and for making Pipian sauce, which is a type of mole. If picked younger, the squash itself can be treated and used like zucchini. When cut into slices, dipped in egg and panko crumbs, and fried, these make an excellent snack-treat, similar to fried zuccini.
