Red Russian Kale seeds
Red Russian kale is unique and different from most varieties of kale. The leaves are large, flat, and frilly. They are also extremely tender and very sweet. Whereas most kale has a slight pungency to them, Red Russian kale can be enjoyed raw due to its subtle sweetness and tempered bitterness.
We grew this last year and fell in love with it. Red Russian kale helps remedy all the opportunities traditional kale presents. It can be used in salads, kale chips, summer smoothies, or in place of cabbage for cabbage wraps. This grows well in cooler weather. Plant in early spring and again in the fall.
