Swiss Chard Rainbow seeds
This mix of rainbow chard contains brilliant shades of chard that include gold, crimson, pink and white striped, pink, orange, scarlet, green, and white. Chard is a close relative of the beet, and of rhubarb respectively. The flavor profile of chard is very similar but milder. The leaves can be used like spinach would. These are great for adding a pop of bright colors to salads, used in omelettes, smoothies, or sautéed.
When the stalks are chopped and diced, they resemble bright crystals on top of salads, or as a garnish on top of summer soups. If you are a smoothy lover, these are great blended with fruit as the flavor is mild and won't take over. These are also great when sautéed although the longer they are cooked, the more their color fades. The stalks are also delicious when eaten raw. They have the texture and juiciness of celery, with the mild flavor of a beet. These will last all season long, you'll have a constant supply of chard using the cut and come again method.
