Mrs. Amerson's winter squash seeds
Little can be found about this treasure on the web. From what is known, is that this heirloom is very sweet, and can grow into either a bell shape or a slightly flattened shape. The outer skin will be a smooth tan/peanut color when it is ready to harvest. They also store well with a shelf life of 4-8 months and can grow to upwards of 60 pounds.
This variety is also squash vine borer resistant as well as powdery mildew resistant. The College of Agricultural & Environmental Services recognized this variety as one of the healthiest and hardest winter squash available.
