Close up of a Lakota squash.

Lakota squash seeds

SKU: L34735

This bulbous squash was grown by the Lakota Sioux. It's an intense orange almost red color and pear-shaped. The underside of the squash has deep green to black streaking up from the bottom. This squash is drought tolerant so you can plant it in full sun areas that may not get a lot of water. This is a great variety for the trellis.

The meat inside is tender, fine-grained and somewhat sweet, and nutty. Each squash is 8" to 9" and can weigh up to 5-7 pounds.
