Goldie Husk Cherry seeds
Goldie Ground Cherries are an older heirloom variety of ground cherries that have a taste that is unique all their own. These seeds will grow a larger, sprawling, bushy type plant that will produce generous yields of deep golden-orange berries. The flavor of the Goldie variety of ground cherry is best described as tropical, exceptionally sweet, and truly unique. Willy Wonka himself would be proud to own one of these.
These will be prolific enough for you to harvest berries daily with enough to share with friends and family. In addition to producing exceptionally flavored berries, this can also act as a ground cover or even as an ornamental. These can also be trellised if you don't have room to allow them to sprawl. Each plant will grow up to 3 ft. tall. These can grow in containers, but the size of the container will determine the size of the plant. We grow ours in 20-gallon BPA-free containers. These can be enjoyed fresh, dried like raisins, frozen, or baked into tarts and pies.
*Ground Cherries can take up to 30 days to germinate, plan accordingly to your growing season.
