Early White Vienna kohlrabi seeds
Early White Vienna Kohlrabi looks like something out of this world! Early White kohlrabi produces a heavy, juicy, and sweet round bulb. If picked tender, the sweetness is at its peak. If left to grow larger, the sweetness does subside slightly, but it's still delicious. The best way to describe the flavor of kohlrabi is a combination of cabbage, broccoli, and apple.
We enjoy this cut-into match sticks with raw apples, some yogurt, and a little dill. It's light, refreshing, and healthy. We also use the leaves in place of kale for crispy kohlrabi "chips". These are great for starting early while you are waiting for warmer weather. We plant these and by the time they are ripe, we pull them and use the empty hole to transplant some of our warm-weather vegetables.
