Dragon Carrot seeds
The dragon carrot (a.k.a purple dragon carrot) was originally bred from a Chinese variety of carrots. These are uniform in shape, slightly squattier than traditional long, slender carrots and smooth on the outside.
They have an attractive purple/red exterior with a bright orange interior. Although they are sweet, they earned their name for the spiciness that they also offer. These highly attractive carrots are exceptional in Asian dishes, but more impressive raw in salads or veggie plates. Like most carrots, these are a Danvers type. They will do well in containers granted the containers is deep enough. These reach about 6 - 8 inches in length, so a container 10 - 12 inches deep will suffice.
