Costata Romanesco Zucchini Seeds
Costata Romanesco Zucchini is a highly attractive Italian heirloom variety of zucchini that boasts dark green skin with prominent raised light green ribbing. The flavor is complex and the flesh is tender, even when reaching up to 18". Italians traditionally harvest these when they are 4"-5" long with the squash blossoms attached on the ends. Although traditional varieties produce high yields, this variety produces less fruit, but the quality, flavor, and texture are a more than fair trade-off. We grew these in containers last year and they did amazing. The male blossoms can be used to make soups, stuffed, or deep-fried.
