Paris Market Carrot seeds
The Paris Market or, Parisian carrot is a popular heirloom variety that is thought to have been developed in the 1800s in France. It was more widely introduced around 1850. The Paris Market carrot is round in shape with a sweet and vegetal flavor. Each carrot 2 will be around 2 inches in diameter and will reach 4-8 inches long. This variety will develop earlier than most carrots, and also thrives in clay and rocky soil, unlike most other carrots.
These do extremely well in containers. These are also ideal for smaller gardens or gardens for folks who have a balcony (i.e. apartment gardens). If you like to square-foot garden, you can squeeze these in around larger veggies or in corners where you have some gaps to fill in. These do well in long box-style planters as well. Due to their round shape, these are perfect for slicing on a mandolin and drying for healthy chips.
