Bloomsdale Savoy Spinach seeds
Bloomsdale spinach is a popular long-standing market spinach with an attractive crinkly texture, deep veiny leaves, and a delicious flavor. Bloomsdale has a more intense deep spinach flavor than other varieties, this is attributed to its higher nutrient and chlorophyll content. The leaves are large, juicy, and succulent, making them great for salads and smoothies. Young leaves are tender and round and form into an arrowhead shape when left to grow to maturity.
This can be planted twice a year as an early spring crop, and again in the fall. If you are in a warmer hardiness zone, you can even have a winter harvest.
This does well in raised beds and containers. If you prefer to harvest your spinach while it's young and tender, you can plant your seeds closer to each other. If you are growing them for their full leaves, you will need to space your seeds and give them a bit more real estate to spread out.
