Black Mammoth sunflowers are also known as Giant Black Mammoth sunflowers. This variety produces blooms as big as 12" across and stalks up to 10' tall. This variety got its name from the seeds it produces as they are pure black versus the grey-striped variety. These are ideal to grow if you are looking to grow and save your organic edible seeds. Sunflower seeds can be roasted, ground into butter, eaten raw, etc.
