Sweet Meat Winter Squash seeds
The Sweet Meat is a classic heirloom that dates back to the 1940s from Oregon. This squash is blue-grey and is prized for its dense, sweet, bright orange flesh. This is a Winter squash, so its shelf life is generous, almost 8-10 months if kept in a cool dry area. The flavor is incredible, if you aren't a squash fan now, you may be one after this. The outer skin is blue-gray and the inside of each squash will yield a generous amount of densely packed flesh. The flesh is delicious when baked, steamed, and roasted. The flesh will become creamy and smooth after it's been baked. The squash can be enjoyed as is, or use the puree to make desserts (i.e. sweetmeat cheesecake, pies, muffins, etc).
