Red Burgundy Okra
Red Burgundy okra is one of the most productive varieties of red okra. Each plant will produce ample amounts of tender red pods that average about 6 inches in length. Each plant can reach a height of around 4 - 5 feet.
Red okra is said to have the traditional okra flavor, but pods tend to be more tender and less viscous inside. These are great for soups, stews, gumbos, and deep frying. This All-American Selections winner does extremely well in containers. If you are in a hot area or trying to save on water, these are a great option as they are also drought tolerant.
