Oregon Sugar Snap Peas
This heirloom is part of the snow pea family. Oregon sugar peas are exceptionally sweet and crunchy. We grow these every year and snack on them while maintaining our gardens. These will produce beautiful flowers prior to the peapod forming. You can pick the pod while they are small and tender, or wait till they get large to harvest the larger peas out.
This variety does extremely well on the trellis as well as boasting some additional advantages over other varieties. Oregon sugar peas add nutrients back into the soil, are resistant to mildew and several other diseases, and are easy to manage on account of their 28" long vines. These are incredible when eaten fresh, but they do freeze well.
