Cinnamon basil that has bolted and started to flower.

Cinnamon Basil seeds

SKU: C220739

Cinnamon Basil is a variety that is closely related to Thai basil but contains a compound called cinnamite, the same compound that gives cinnamon its flavor. This compound creates a unique and delicious flavor profile of basil and cinnamon. Do these flavors go together? Absolutely! One taste of this basil will have you grateful for the time and effort it took to grow it.

We have used it to make tea or to put in desserts to balance out the sweetness a bit. Basil pairs well with strawberries, lemon, eggplant, oils, and balsamic vinegar. This makes cinnamon basil optimal for dressings, used fresh in fruit salads or fruit tarts, for unique and delicious lemonade, one-of-a-kind salad dressings, etc.

Cinnamon basil can grow up to 3 feet tall and 3 feet wide. This can be grown in containers and/or raised beds. Like other basil varieties, this can mask the scent of the precious vegetables you are growing and keep harmful pests at bay since they find your garden from miles away using smell.
