California Poppy seeds

The California poppy is the state flower of California! These dainty beauties are an intense orange-gold color and stand around 12 inches. These thrive in warmer climates, and grow prolifically, creating golden blankets of blooms.
 
This variety is also known as California sunlight or a cup of gold. it's native to the U.S. and Mexico. The upper portion of the flower has been used for medicinal benefits and teas. A quick Google search will shed some light on some of the attributes one could gain from this golden beauty. The California poppy is heat tolerant and does well in containers, window boxes, and flower beds. These are also great for adding dramatic contrast to cooler-colored flowers ( blues, lavenders, violets, burgundy, etc.)
 
If you have enough real estate, sprinkle these all over a field of poppy flowers. The bright colors and open petals attract beneficial insects, bees, and butterflies. These seeds are often mixed into wildflower mixes since they are so powerful at attracting pollinators.
