Mistletoe therapy, widely recognized and used for its efficacy in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the rest of Europe, offers a promising complementary approach to conventional cancer treatments. It has been approved for use in cancer patients by Germany's rigorous regulatory body, the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices. Mistletoe's potential benefits stem from its ability to stimulate the immune system, kill cancer cells, inhibit cancer cell growth, and potentially enhance the effectiveness of existing therapies while minimizing side effects.We are dedicated to funding scientific research into mistletoe extracts and their potential benefits through Believe Big and Johns Hopkins University.

Our Cancer Story

Three years ago, our lives were shattered by the diagnosis of EHE, an incredibly rare and aggressive untreatable cancer, in our beloved Alex, a member of our family and valuable team member of Blue Pumpkin Seed Co. Faced with a grim prognosis and limited treatment options, we embarked on a desperate search for hope.

At the Rocky Mountain Cancer Center in Denver, CO., we were given a devastating timeline: less than a year. But at UC Health, a glimmer of hope emerged. Surgery was scheduled, but the tumor had already spread from his kidney to his liver, adrenal gland, and colon. Alex was then scheduled to have his kidney removed.

Desperate, we turned to alternative therapies to help his liver. Through Believe Big, we discovered mistletoe, a treatment widely used in Germany, Austria, and the rest of Europe. With no other options, we embraced it. Alex drastically changed his diet and began a rigorous regimen of mistletoe injections.

Miraculously, the surgery revealed an unexpected turn: the tumor had regressed, defying all expectations. The doctors were baffled as caner was no longer on his adrenal gland or colon. Alex continues to thrive, defying the initial prognosis.

Alex had 22 lesions on his liver and through the use of mistletoe therapy, several of Alex's lesions have shrunk, and the cancer has stopped spreading to the doctors surprise. The doctor had determined Alex's cancer was stable and only needs scans every 6 months. Although we continue to battle today, the doctor said Alex can live a long and healthy life as long as he keeps doing what he is doing.

While we acknowledge the unconventional path, Alex's journey is a testament to the power of hope and the importance of exploring all avenues. We are eternally grateful to Believe Big for introducing us to mistletoe and supporting us throughout this challenging journey. We will continue to support their vital work in helping others find hope in the face of cancer.
